Heres my contribution to Illustration Friday. Vintage Undies! Normally, I never copy other illustrations, but this is my take on a vintage fashion illustration. Its got a bit of a different character than the original anyway:

And here are my 2 chairs. I decided not to try and make the rest of the chairs look like prints, but let them develop as they see fit!:
O.K. Off to bed!
See ya later!!

I ADORE your drawings. I am a huge fan of the flapper aesthetic and I am just smitten with your vintage undies drawing. So lovely!

Nice Sketch for Vintage!
Hey – nice chairs too. I really like your prints (is that what they are?) and the fact that you have a niche for doing chairs is REALLY excellent and cool. Love to look at them.

What can I say? Very beautiful. And yet beautiful seems to be too lame to describe your drawings.

Woah! Holy Feedback Batman!!
All I can say is thanks! I love the encouragement!!
Giao,
Yeah..I knew I had to do this week’s illustration Friday just because ever since I was little, I loved anything that was from this era and other historical stuff, antiques, old photos, etc. As a kid, I used to get American history books out at the library and draw stuff like bathing beauty contests, girls at the seaside with big bows in their hair, etc. I also drew shoe designs. Hmm..maybe I should’ve gone into fashion? haa!
Michele,
Yes they are prints..I don’t often do series of one subject. But I decided to do chairs for art-every-day month!
Thanks again everyone!

Giao,
This was gonna go on your blog, but I didn’t know how to post it w/out signing up an account. Anyway..here ya go:
Cool..love that it’s got a lot of different vintage elements..good title for it too! Very beautiful!!
I also have to say that I LOVE your argyle illo, because I’m a fan of argyle too! That used to be my gift to my Dad when I was young, not really because he liked argyle socks, but because I did!
I have dozens of patterned socks too..my Mom always supplies me with new ones when it’s gift-giving time!
Anyway..good stuff!
