And this is why I didn’t do an illustration for Illo Friday..yet! Got too sleepy Thurs night, and then got home from work last night and when Cam asked what was for dinner, I said “Champagne!!” (We had fish and baked potato to compliment the booze.) They let us take two bottles and two of the gift bags as well..which have a cold pack to keep the bottle chilled when you go on a Christmas picnic Down Under! Nice, eh?:
As I’m slightly hung-over, this is all I’ll post today. I’ll try and get the illo Friday thing-o up tomorrow. Having lots of fun..Hope you are too!

Nah..I’ve been getting them from magazine pics. I used to have the idea in my head, until very recently, that I should NEVER draw from pictures..even though many times in school I’d need to, for Illustration research. I hadn’t done much drawing from imagination, until lately, either!
Drawing from life is always great..but…I need to stop setting ridiculous limits!

word! i still have that stigma about drawing from images because of things art school teachers said…but i try to ignore those old voices as much as possible. who cares where the gorgeous images originate from. they’re wonderful!! :-)
and i’ll keep it up with the trees, tho i can never tell what will be next…i’ve done a couple naked ladies lately (ooh, that sounds naughty!) who knows what might be next…kitties? hmmmm

Yeah, I like these the best too! (The latest ones are more like these.)
No. 13 is my favourite out of all of them so far. I’ve been using my quill pen with Payne’s Grey watercolour to draw them.

like these chairs the best, over most of what you’ve done so far (just my taste). Keep us the fine work. the winery is beautiful and the gift bag for those picnics, very chic! xxxooo
