Jumping Bean

O.K., considering that we spent part of yesterday and ALL of today fixing a minor plumbing problem in the toilet, I’d say it’s pretty kewel that I’m even posting tonight. Especially with pictures AND links! We’ll be at Mum and Dad’s all day tomorrow for the last hurrah before my trip. So, looking forward to that..taking 2 bottles of wine, of course!

Anyway..I’ll let these pictures do most of the talking!

Yes, I’m finally clothing and putting a face & hair on the doll I started ages ago, thoroughly inspired by Loobylu’s Month of Softies, which I did not have time to do this month. I’m really loving making the doll clothes, and hats and wee socks and shoes, etc….. so look out everyone..plans are forming!

Also, I’d hoped to have it up by now, but I’ll just say that sometime in the not too distant future I’ll be selling some stuff online through cafepress! It’s already in the process. YAY!

When I’ve not been inside creating, I’ve been outside keeping an eye on this:

and these:

(And playing squeaky-toy catch with the boys, but I’m limiting the pics tonight..another time, fellow dog-lovers!)

Oh and um..yeah..these few are inspired by Vit!! Hee!:

Will I be in the U.S.A. next week?

Or Australia?

Hey! How’d that fork get in there??!

Seems I’ve not progressed much from these days..Ahhhh.. but, it’s all good!!!

FANTASTIC fork fashioning. I’m very tempted to actually give a go one of these days.. the pencil has lost its edge!

Love the cute dollie. You’ve come a long way since the elmo doll. HA! Glad you are going into business for yourself. You look great-very healthy. Must be the sunshine and the wine. Dan and I had a big laugh over your silly pics. That’s our Amy. xxxooo

    Thanks everyone!

Nice pun, Vit! But, clever IS your middle names I think..

Janine..yes, I must admit I’m pretty cute! But then, "it takes one to know one!" (What the" H-E double hockey sticks" did that ever mean anyway?! Oh, and .."gotcha last"!)

    Moooommmm,
It’s Spongebob Squarepants!! (I hope you’ve dusted him off every week, Zach!)
Elmo isn’t finished yet. YET. Kaffy, I know you still need him even though you’ve got a little bub now. And..Ike’s gonna get a BUNNY from me!! But a nice soft one..not a wooden ghetto one like you guys get! Hmm..though the reason none but Spongebob got finished is because he wasn’t very ghetto at all!
Don’t think I forgot Action Homer either, Dan!
(Nothing like finishing the gag gifts from last Christmas..one year later!! I should’ve brought the felt and google eyes over here tho..D’OH!!)
Anyway..this is rambling..yes Mom..the wine is good stuff!
    (In moderation..but yeah..a couple of nights a week..not baaad!)
Ohhh..I got your email and will write back tomorrow! Going to bed!
    love,
    Amy

i love the doll. that’s awesome!

  8. Amy Says:

Yeah, Kirst..it was too pretty not to run outside with the camera!! By the way, how are you? And how is it up there in CANADIA??! (Do you remember that moose flag I designed a couple of years ago? I’ll have to see if I can find that on Cameron’s computer!)

Kat! Whee!! Thanks..yeah..I’ve always had a thing for dolls and doll-making. (Well, not the scary-looking or really cheesy ones.)
But this one is actually my first attempt at making a real one.
My mom always cut out articles from newspapers for me about doll-makers and doll hospitals ever since I was young! I have a small collection of dolls which my Aunt Helen started for me. It includes a beautiful porcelain one that belonged to my grandmother, which is one of my most treasured possessions.
