Total Avoidance Day
For all that I accomplished yesterday, I made up for today by not doing anything on my list.
Well, I got my haircut, but that was about it.
I could list all the stuff I DIDN’T get done, but instead I think I’ll save that stuff and put it on my “accomplished” list tomorrow, for a more positive spin.
I’ll focus on the fact that it’s good to have a lazy day once in a while. Don’t you agree?
On my way back from the hairdressers, I saw this view and commited it to memory:

Just a really lovely view, with one bright star in plain view. I didn’t wish on it, but didn’t feel a deep need to wish for anything right now. Feeling pretty content today.
Here’s a little poetry…it’s been a while since I’ve written any:
Sweet Summer Night
The languid summer evening
Melts into sultry summer night.
An early evening star
Shows a speckle of bright light.
Dusky shadows creep stealthily
Over rock and tree and hill,
They tell me a tale of a wistful wish
Of more nights so deep and still.
The moon hangs high
The treetops sigh
The birds have said goodbye
The summer time will soon be gone,
Autumn is drawing nigh.
If wishing on the solitary star
Brings glorious treasures to me,
It shall not replace the beauty and grace
Of this summer night’s sweet memory.
