On a Rainy Saturday
Well, despite the wet day, I got a walk in. And accomplished a few chores, although I’ve yet to finish unpacking my suitcases..but never fear..I will! Cameron keeps urging me to do so anyway, so he can sweep the bedroom floor. Saturdays are our clean up house day, so I’m keeping him from his duties!
I’ve been kind of up and down, still adjusting to the time here and a new atmosphere, but overall it’s been good. Went to the movies to see Wallace and Gromit. And had a good time and a bit of champagne & Turkish bread with beetroot dip at Adrian’s photo exhibition. He had a great display of stuff..very inspiring.
I’ve been walking just about every day and doing morning pages too. I’m about to start up the Artists Way again, so that should get my creativity going.
Yet, there are some more drawings to post today:

The wonky dog drawings

Some more of the chair series.
And, for my poetry fans, another poem, written in honour of the day:
This Spring Rain
The lush green leaves
are drenched in water
washed with water
shine with water
The bendy gum trees
drip with water
soak in water
drink up water
The eaves of the house
pour off water
tap with water
gleam with water
This rain
This roaring Spring rain
Rages with water
Teams with water
Sings of water
Water swelling
Water rushing
Water swirling
Water blessing
Hope your day is sunny, light and warm, no matter what the weather!

Hi
like the dog sketches, they look so peaceful! and all the chairs, they look great together in all the different mediums, making me realize I should try something new. and wondering, the reviews I’ve seen of Wallace and Grommit are not completely positive, do you recommend it? never read the Artist’s Way, recommend it also?
cheers!

Haa..Kirst..but the chairs have already been designed..I only drew them! I think they’d catch on to that pretty quick!
Hi Cin,
Wallace and Gromit was good..my husband and I really enjoyed it. They have another cartoon before it as a kind of filler, and that was cute..kinda geared towards kids though. I guess it depends on whether or not you want to pay the movie ticket prices for a shorter film. I’m used to watching them as shorts on TV, but was glad we went. Got a lot of chuckles out of it.
I do recommend the Artists Way, although it can be a little difficult to stick with sometimes. I tried starting it a few times before I actually completed all twelve weeks. It did get my creativity going though. I feel really ready to start it again.
Thanks for taking a gander at my stuff!
