Off Track
Listening to this album reminds me that I’ve never written about the “Ken Stringfellow Project” on this here blog. That’s a story for another day, but for now I’ll give an encapsulation of what it was: In late 2000, Cameron and I and 4 others were involved in an international online project designing and constructing a custom-made guitar for Ken, member of the band the Posies, keyboard player for R.E.M. and very kewel guy! It was great fun and quite exciting, so if I don’t tell about it soon, remind me!
This album is beautiful..I haven’t listened to it since the beginning of the year since I’d left it behind for Cameron when I went to the States. Good to hear it again.
Well, having been so productive just a few days ago, I proceeded to rest on my laurels and have been a lazy bum and feeling guilty for it, too. I vow to get back on track tomorrow! It’s not like there’s a lack of things to do…I just didn’t have any ambition. Well, until tonight. I finally drew 2 more chairs:
Only six more till I reach my goal of 30. And I want to wrap them up soon, because November is Art Every Day month, and the chair series was last year’s project, believe it or not! I gave up mid-way and only got around to finishing it this year. I have a habit of leaving things half-finished, so it feels good to be so near the end of this series. We’ll see if I can’t do better this year!

Thanks, Kat. Yeah…nothing specific yet. I may just resolve to do any kind of art, so long as I’m making it every day.

Hi buddy
Just checking in and saying hi.. I finally finished my last assignment at 3am on friday morning and went to work with 2 whole hours sleep… thank god i have this weekend to catch up hehe..
Anyways, sorry i cant make it to the family bday lunch thing tomorrow… Hope you have fun for both of us.. Im sure well be seeing each other soon, with camerons bday comming up in a few days :o)

Glad you got your assignment finished. I’ve been checking your blog, just haven’t left any comments. Sorry we won’t be seeing you tomorrow, but yeah, we’ll catch up soon. I told Cam you said hi and he said "cool!"

aw stringbean. i’ve only listened to that album once or twice… i think it needs to grow on me a bit. i havent taken to it as quickly as i did with "touched" but that happens a lot with me.
i hope you’re feeling more productive lately!

I’m that way with certain albums too. I woke up with some of his songs in my head though..and it won’t stop..that’s annoying me. I’ll have to turn some music on soon.
Thanks…I’m going to produce some things today, even if I’m not feeling productive..that way, but the end of the day I WILL feel like I’ve done something!
