The Tail of 2005

Well, the last day of the year is winding down. We’re headed over to Mum and Dad’s for the night to ring in the New Year and have a meal tomorrow. Mom always said it’s good luck to have pork and sauerkraut on the first of the year, so we’re bringing some cabbage with us to make the sauerkraut homemade, and Mum and Dad are supplying the pork, which we’ll probably have as cold meat since it’s summer. . .
And what a hot night for New Year’s Eve - 43 degrees celcius, which equals 109 degrees fahrenheit!!! It’s like an oven out there! Speaking of which, we have an oven! Not the wood burning one, but a bright new shiny gift from Mum and Dad:

We baked our cookies in it and it works great!

And a gift from Melissa, a cute ducky filled with bath goodies! Yay!:

We also recieved some new ornaments from my family:

This one holds of picture of me and Mom back in the 70s

Cam loves trains, so Kathy, Zach and Isaac found this one. It was the last one left!

From Kathy, Zach and Ike, a cute little shepherd!

There are bunch of other wonderful gifts, which I’m saving to draw in my sketchbook. So nice to have such generous people in our lives! Thank you to everyone…we WILL be getting some gifts out in the New Year.
And on that note we’ve got to get going! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! Hope it brings you much joy, love, laughter and peace!
