Artist’s Way to Go!

My drawing for the night:

Gus in the background and my Snoopy from Kathy in the foreground. I titled it “buddies”. He he.

Started the Artist’s Way today! Read the first chapter this morning. Did my morning pages (three handwritten pages each morning) and some affirmations. Was going to walk for 20 minutes too, but the day seemed to slip away from me. So, later tonight I’ll do one of the written tasks for this week. I think it’s so great that people are stopping by my site to say hi and good luck! I’m planning to visit some sites to offer encouragement and say hi as well. There are quite a few people on the list, but the course runs for twelve weeks, so I should be able to visit most, if not all of the sites at least once! It’s great to be able to share the experience with others.

As for my house-beautiful mission of 2006, I cleared another big patch of overgrown ivy and weeds, and cleared away a couple of old mops and bucket that were junking up the place. Now, the ivy does soften the wall, and looks romantic, but this patch was just too thick and threatening to destroy a tree and some windows, so I cut it right down to the ground. It’ll grow back again, but for now I’m really glad it’s gone. When we have a bit of spending money, I’d like to get some potted flowers or something bright to put in the empty area beside the fuschia bush. Right now I’ll just enjoy the cleaner look of it.

Hi Sheryl! Thanks! Yeah, it was a lot of work, but really worth it..and I was really motivated, so that helped.

Ahhhh….doesn’t that feel SO good to have that done! You did a great job! I love when I get stuff like that done. Just think–you look at that daily–you are going to feel so good when you walk by it. You’ve cleared the path for new things to come into your life. Out with the old, in with the new—a great time of year to do so!
