Just an experiment. I showed up to the page to play around and this is the result. I’m still trying to decide what I think of it. It’s kind of bizarre & wonky and totally out of my imagination. Always good to do that kind of thing every-so-often, if not a lot:

That is SOOOOOOOOOOOO neat! What did you use to create that? I love the colors, the way they stand out, like it’s alive!!!!

Thanks, Kirsten!
Jana, thank you. I drew and painted in the colors normally, then I altered the hues and contrast, and used some filters in photoshop to create the textured look and bold lines. Just a bunch of playing around and saying "yeah..I’ll keep that look..now what else?"

That Photoshop, it’s pretty cool.
You know, if you did the bright blue stuff as a single line it’d look like one of those pieces you could buy with famous art that had neon incorporated into it. Kind of like this:

Do with that what you will.

I love farting around with stuff like that. It’s amazing what you can come up with. That’s one of the things I’m looking into taking at school, if I can save up the money!

This is great - I like the ‘wonky’. Did you use any computer or digital imagery to get this look?

I think…..Playful! Stepping outside the “comfort zone” is always powerful and sure to bring in new “friends”. What is her name?
* BTW I just love the word WONKY!

Claude,
Haa!! And Edward Hopper is one of my favourite artists!
Kirsten,
Cool! Hope you can do it. I didn’t like computer art at first..preferred hands’on stuff…but I grew to enjoy it a lot. Now I usually use a mixture of the two.
Marilyn,
Thanks! Yep..it’s all done on the computer..even drew it and painted it on the computer…then used photoshop to “soup it up”!
Lisa,
He he..hmm..didn’t think of a name for her…I think I’ll call her “Agathe”.
Hee. Yep..wonky is a favorite word of mine, too!
