Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Just deciding if I’m up for continuing with the Artist’s Way. I started out with the best of intentions, but by last week I’d stopped doing it all together..didn’t even read the chapter. I’m pretty sure I want to start fresh though. I know it was helping my creativity…time to make a choice and either fully commit to the program or wait for when I’m truly dedicated to it, and do it on my own. I’ll let you know soon.

Should be back to more regular entries at any rate. I’ve kind of been in avoidance mode, so I’m now getting tired of that game. It’s already the second half of February and there are things I want to accomplish this year! Time to look at goals and priorities and make some plans!

Good luck with your choice, whether you decide to stay with this run or let it go for now. :) If you do stop, perhaps you will find another group in the future (or members who have slipped from this group who also want to pick it up).

You’ll surely do what feels right for you, but in ways, once begun, I think even when we stop doing the Artist’s Way, it keeps on working quietly inside. We cannot go back and “un-know” the stuff we realised in weeks 1 or 2, so even if you don’t go on reading the material or doing the tasks, you are somewhere on the Artist’s Way, paused maybe, until you pick back up again, calling the journey by another name, maybe, but headed in the same direction – towards your own authentic, creative self. Good luck whatever choices you make.

Hi Amy! Thanks for popping in with a comment on my photo of my daughter “drawing in light” I really appreciated it. My apologies for my lack of attentiveness with all my wonderful creative contacts, like yourself ~ my life has been rather disorganised!
I thought “The Artist’s Way” was a book, I seem to remember Danny Gregory mentioning it on his blog last year, but reading the above comments it sounds like a group. Ah well, I’m often totally oblivious to the rest of the universe!
Whatever you decide to do, more power to you!
    Stay happy, healthy and creative!
