WordPress Themes: Carrots Everywhere!
Yes, it’s been pretty quiet on this here blog, but I’ve been busy with some projects. One of which is producing graphics for WordPress themes.
If you use WordPress for your own site, you can download this theme which I’ve created, based on the default WordPress theme, “Kubrick”. It’s a basic two coloumn layout, but the re-worked graphics provide more of an artistic flair. It’s also compatible with versions 1.5, 2.0 and 2.1 of WordPress. The themes I’m doing are not overly complex, yet the illustrative nature adds a bit of punch to a standard layout.
The first theme I’ve finished is called “Carrots Everywhere!” and features..you guessed it.. carrots, everywhere! (Also a couple of bunny silhouettes in blue.) This theme might appeal to the cook, gardener, animal lover, artist, or child in you… or maybe you’ll like it, just ’cause!

Artistic flair a’plenty! A simple, yet strong, layout that really wows you with well done graphics. I didn’t realize it was the kubrick layout til I read your description. It’s very lush.
Damn good job. I look forward to what else you come up with particularly since there is nothing like this in all the thousands of themes.
Monkeys! You like monkeys?

Hrmm…I might just have to come up with a monkey theme somewhere down the line! Eeek eek.

hi there, i want to make my own theme (or at least use my own header and BG graphic)… is there an online tutorial for this?
thanks!

No need for a tutorial if you only want to use the Kubrick theme as the basis for your own (as the these themes here are done). Simply use the same dimensions as the images found in the images folder and give them the same names. Upload them to your theme folder and then refresh your browser cache. Quick and easy brand new look.
If you want a totally different layout then find a similar WordPress layout and modify things from there. There are also theme tutorial at WordPress.org (I think).

Great theme. I just started a website for my wife about her love of bunnies. It’s called bunnymom.com – the theme is a great fit – Thanks!

Great themes! :) Any chance you remember which font you used to create the graphical headers for the sidebar? I added widgets to the theme and so they no longer are useing the graphical headers, and the ones on the artyblog site are not working out for me. Thanks!
