Lovely Day
Had fun shopping at Borders w/ Mumsy. Used some of my birthday money and gift cards to buy the awesomest movie, “Eagle vs. Shark”! (The male lead is played by Flight of the Conchords member, Jemaine Clement. The female lead, Loren Horsley, is brilliant too.)
Bought a gorgeous Japanese woodblock print 2010 calendar, in a nice large format. Will definitely be framing the art when the year is up!
And bought a book which will not be easy to read, but I’ve been meaning to for years, “Night” by Elie Wiessel, and his account of the Holocaust. (It’s also a new and more accurate translation written by his wife, Marion.)
The cashier laughed and said “That’s quite the range you’ve got there, isn’t it?”
Yep!
Watched the movie with Mom tonight and she agreed: Laugh-out-loud funny, ridiculous, quirky and cute. Love it.

Sounds like a lovely time. I read ‘Night’ in high school (Sr. Pat’s AP english, lol!)…it’s a book you won’t forget!
Zach recorded Eagle vs Shark on the dvr back when we had HBO…I’ll have to watch it sometime! (he thinks it’s hilarious, too!)

It was lovely. We cut it shorter than we’d originally planned to keep from getting tired/grumpy/etc. Haa.
I thought you’d read it… I had Sr. Pat’s AP English, and Mrs Warner’s, but for some reason they didn’t assign to my classes…
And Zach is the one who told me about it after he’d watched it once. So he and I watched it at your place, one of those times I stayed overnight to help out w/ the boys and you were either running errands or napping. You’ll like it! I’ll have to play it for Dan and Allie sometime, too.
