Saturday Night Check-in.

Yesterday was a mix of good family stuff & not-so-good medical. Blahhh. Stuff. At least 1 more surgery needed, decisions need to be made. They found precancerous cells during the operation to remove the cancer.. Add infection (OUCH) and a jammed finger (which has been hurting like crazy) to the mix. Will update everyone after Monday when I see the Dr. again. Good things: air conditioning, British comedies, Watermelon Italian Ice, Grape Soda and.. Watermelon. Which I’m off to fetch presently. As my Sister put it, so perfectly, “Cancer can kiss my ass!”

Amy! This is Suzy (fridgebuzz), oh my gosh, thank you for sharing what’s been going on with you. What a shock! What a summer you’re having right? Jeez. You seem like you’re being as positive as possible though and I’m thinking of you, especially at this time. Sorry it’s been forever since we’ve gotten in touch, I’ve been doing the same b.s. every day. ha. Working, taking some courses again (going back to school for drug and alcohol counseling), and just taking things as they come. That’s all you can do right?
My boyfriend watches British comedies, some of them I just can’t get into though. lol. Which ones do you watch?
Anyway, I’m sending positive thoughts and prayers for you Amy, good luck on Monday. Miss you. XOXO

Akk! Been meaning to write back to this ever since I read it, but thanks so much, Suze! Awesome path for school. I think you’ll do great at that! So right about staying positive and taking things as you can.

    British Comedies.
I watch them all, the watchable and the unbearable, except “Red Dwarf”:
Let’s see, I like “Are You Being Served”, “Last of the Summer Wine” “The Vicar of Dibly”, “As Time Goes By”, “Waiting for God” and “Keeping Up Appearances”. Some of those can be a real yawn-fest at times, but there are still lots of funny moments in some episodes.

Heard Black Books is good, but have only seen a couple of clips.

One that I used to watch in Australia, but that I’ve not yet seen here, that I miss incredibly is “Gimme Gimme Gimme”. You would love that! It is silly, crude, ridiculous and unconventional. There are clips on Youtube. The main characters are Tom (who is gay) and his crazy, loveable and hilarious flat-mate Linda (or “Lindy”), Beryl the old-lady disapproving landlord, and neighbors, Jez and Suze who are over-eager and a little on the flakey side, and their own names printed on their sweaters… I’d like to get the series sometime. I think it ran for two seasons, not sure.

Another great one is “The IT Crowd”. Again, it’s on YouTube and you would love it! I’ll skip the character synopsis, as it is self evident once you see a couple of episodes. I’ll send links to these when I get a chance.

Anyway, thanks for the love and prayers. I’ve been doing well and it’s time I write another update sometime soon!
Miss you too, I wrote a long comment or two sometime this year (don’t remember when) on your MySpace, which I never use anymore. Wouldn’t be surprised if you never got it, though.
Anyway, will be in touch another time! xoxoxo love, Amy
