Sick Abed
Celebrated Father’s Day (AU) with our in-laws on the weekend. Now we both have the flu-like illness that my father-in-law is just getting over. Ooof. In good spirits, but I’m headed back to bed now, where I’ve been since 6:45 last evening. I don’t even feel good enough to take a quick look at some favourite web sites.
Yes, Mother, we’re drinking fluids, water, tea, vitamin c, getting rest (and how!!), there’s cough drops and Tylenol cold, and a thermometer on the bedside table. Tissues, extra pillows, and Library books on painting to browse through in-between naps. Some on portraiture and making hand-made cards, and a nice big one on Edward Hopper! YAY..it’s been checked out the last 4 times we went to the Library!
Job interview went well. I’m on call now as a (gardening) nursery hand, but they’re not sure when..Spring is really busy, of course, so hopefully they’ll call when I’m feeling better.
O.K High time for resting again.
Love ya!

…and you’ll love this Kat..the author is holding her cat in the pic on her bio page.
It’s from a series called "Watercolor For The fun Of It"

Hope you two are much better. Amy,sounds like you remembered my advice, about taking care of yourself when sick.Your dad and I celebrate Anniversary #33 tomorrow. We’re going to the roadhouse for a tasty dinner. Dad is refereeing a football game tonight, one of his favorite things to do. He is now working as a temp at sylvania, the people who make lightbulbs. so far, so good. He may be asked to join the co. if he continues to improve in speed. So happy to hear that you are on call at the garden center. What a nice job for you right now. Hope you receive a call as soon as you’re up and about. Much love!!!!!!!!!!!

Mumsy..we are feeling better now, thanks!
We remembered your Anniversary!! Hope it was a good one. Sent an ecard a couple of days beforehand…did you get that?
Yes, I again forgot to buy a real card about 500 weeks(or something like that) in advance. Cam keeps telling me that we need to stockpile cards for every occassion so that I can mail them in time.
Good job Dad…hope it works out for you! Maybe you’ll get some bright ideas..;-)
And!! I just got home from my first day at work!! Woo Hoo!! Going in tomorrow and it could continue for several months, depending on demand, workers needed, etc. It’s potting, weeding and tagging plants at a wholesale nursery! (Brought home some pansy seed pods today)
