Well, I’ve been working on a painting for someone the past few days, so I thought I’d post some alternate pieces of artwork for you today. Yes, ARTWORK!

Not sure if they ever really did though..as I forgot to take a snap of the finished piece.. D’OH!! (Sheila, next time I’m in good ‘ole York, PA I’d like to do that..)
And here are some doodles I did while waiting for paint to dry between sessions on the portrait I’m painting currently. The Melbourne Cup has me thinking of hats. I’ll have to write a piece on that someday. I don’t own many, but I love ‘em.
I save a lot of my notebooks and little scraps of paper with my doodling. I have an affection for them. It’s good to be free with the pen and brush. To let my mind wander. To draw from imagination entirely. To play!:

Hello Amis!
Just checking out your site. Love the pictures, love the doggies, love you! I just put your little nephew down for the night (fyi- it’s 3am!!! yes 3 in the morning) He seems to enjoy the night life; little stinker. Poor mommy is very very tired, but wouldn’t have it any other way. Isaac is officially 3 months old today and getting cuter every day. Can’t wait for you to see him. (no pressure) Been tossing around the idea of mommy and baby taking a trip to see aunt amis when he is a little older. hmmm…..

How are ya? Been thinking of you and your family of course! Thanks so much for the birthday cards..loved them!! Ooohh..a trip down unda, eh?? Cool! Well, in the meantime, I’ll work on getting over there to see you guys!! (But better send a photo so I recognize the yiddle guy..the last one I saw was when he was 2 weeks old!)
A nightowl….yay! Next thing you know, he’ll be up drinking on holidays with us, watching Grandma get drunk..uhh..I mean "tipsy" on Irish whiskey! (Just kidding Mom)
