Merry December!

I just thought I’d write an update for those of you who still stop in to see what’s up.

Things have been busy, but good.

I realized that I had a couple of comments that I hadn’t approved until today. . . and they were from November! So, sorry about that. I’ve enjoyed being away from blogging these past few months, but I’m sure I’ll get back into it again sometime soon.

I’m enjoying time with my immediate family, and will be getting in touch with friends soon. I made no plans on what I’ll be doing, besides Christmas gatherings and catching up with my nephew. And that’s the way I like it. Pretty simple and laid-back, with cozy clothes, favorite foods, reading, crafts, laughter and lots of love.

Calls and emails to Cameron. . . we miss having him here, but next year we’ll both fly over together! And it’d be nice to have a dog or two around, but, on the other hand, I’ve got a break from cleaning up dog hair every day.

There has been a fun Christmas party already, and will be a couple more parties later in the month. We have lights to put up for the front of the house, and will soon get the tree. As we drove home from Kathy and Zach’s place the other night, we saw a fire under a van parked next to a garage and called the fire dept. then stayed in the area to report what happened. They told us it looked like it had been lit deliberately. Lots of excitement for a cold Sunday morning in the wee small hours!

I’ll write again before TOO long. Hope everyone out there is enjoying the holidays!

Crazy Busy

This past week, between dogsitting sweet little Anu & Goldie for Melissa, celebrating our 4 Year Anniversary, celebrating Mum’s birthday, and Bronwen’s “hen’s party” at a day spa, we squeezed in x-rays, dr. appts and physiotherapy. I think we have a few days off now!

Mel’s dogs are super tiny compared to ours, and Anu is especially full of energy. There was a lot of fun and laughter, but it kind of reminded me of watching 2 year olds, with all the supervision required. So funny to see all 4 dogs headed outside in one big group. And, no surprise that I still can’t find one of my slippers! We miss them though, they are a couple of cuties. (I would’ve drawn Goldie as well, but I’m getting rather sleepy.)

The x-rays showed that my arm is healing well, which means that I don’t have to have an operation to have a piece of my bone permanently removed. Bonus!

The garden is now threatening to consume us whole, since I can’t get out there just yet..somehow we lost Gus’s favourite ball today, and it’s probably just hidden in some long grass. Ann and Jordan are going to put the horses in the yard soon, so at least that’s taken care of. . .

And we’ve been invited to Adrian’s birthday party in November, and have to come dressed as our inner super hero – the lamer the better. (Think “Mystery Men”).
Hrmmm..any suggestions would be appreciated. . . .

Belated Birthday Post

Lately, most of my entries have been mainly written as a way to keep in touch with family and friends, and this one is no exception. The only problem is that I haven’t been writing regularly, due to the broken elbow and two lethargy-inducing colds in a row. I think my immune system is shot!
I know this will change, though, so if you’re tired of seeing the same old post half-a-month later, just know that it is a temporary lapse!
And there are plans for a return to artwork, too . . . but one thing at a time!

Here’s a pictorial run-down of my birthday fun, a couple of weeks ago:
Cam bought me some beautiful flowers and a chocolate mud cake cake -and lit 32 candles!!!

Mom and Kathy sent me some great new clothes, and some pictures of my sweet nephew, Isaac.

And, of course, the boys always love to help celebrate!

Pupdemonium

We’re pup-sitting two small dogs for Melissa and it’s lots of fun and chaos with 4 dogs running around the place, but at the moment it’s time to settle down for sleep. Cameron caught the illness that Eb and I had, and he gave it to me again. (Actually it’s my own fault for kissing him!)
But it’s been a busy day and I’m wiped, so that next entry will be tomorrow..
