Thanks to my friend, Mr Zip, I learned tonight was a “Blue Moon” because it’s the second full moon in one month.

That’s cool, because it’s once in a blue moon that I post things on here anymore. And I’m planning to change that because I think people occasionally still pop in from time to time…maybe? hello??

So, for tonight, here are some pictures of our nephew, Isaac:

Cam says he’s got a Charlie Brown mouth when he cries! Tee Hee!
I love the one in the carseat..with his contented pose, little happy hands and awesome duck hat!! QUACK!
Congratulations Kaffy and Zachius!

And for anyone in need of another smile, go to Loobylu, and check out “Humphrey Beggs with the tiny little legs”..cause he rocks!!
I may be back tomorrow..but for any family or friends wondering, I’m doing o.k. and will get in touch through email or IM soonish!

Just a quick-ish catch-up, and note to let you know that I plan on getting back to this blog, regularly…just in case you were wondering how long the “dry spell” was going to last.

I’m still doing well. Last weekend my mother-in-law helped me catch up on laundry and gave me her old sewing machine…YES!! I’ve always wanted one. I also brought home Cameron’s dulcimer, and I’m teaching myself a song on it! (Hey Mumsy, do you have that tape with the hammered dulcimer songs? I think I gave it back to you, but I’d love a copy)

On (our) Wednesday morning we found out that we have a brand new nephew named Isaac William, born on July 20 .. YAY!!!! He’s sooooo beautiful!!. He’s a tiny thing..was 6 lbs, 6oz at birth! 19 inches long. Congratulations Kat and Zach!! We love you~

Wed afternoon we had a wonderful lunch at my sister-in-law’s place and chatted with her and her beautiful daughters. We also got a bag full of lemons from the tree in her backyard. Made great lemonade!

Saw the doctor on Thursday, and got a referral for some short term psychotherapy. My increase in meds should be kicking in soon.
In the meantime, I’m still walking everyday, playing with the pups, and gardening. Keeping warm at night in front of the fire, and being silly with Camel.

Have drawn a few things in the past week, but not motivated to do it much yet. I’ll probably draw something tonight..even if it’s just for 5 minutes.
Thanks for all the support! Love ya!

Feeling better :-)

Just a quick update, for friends and family. Saw the doctor the other day and he increased my meds slightly, for the winter season. I’ve been feeling better the last couple of days. Still taking walks, and the sun has been out more this week.

Besides rounding up 3 runaway horses on the property, and having lots of FUN changing washers on the hot water taps of the antiquated system in the house, Cam and I have been doing fine. I actually managed to make pretty good ginger cookies in the wood stove, and there are flowers blooming in the garden even though it’s the middle of winter! Calls from my mom, brother, aunt and uncle, friend, and an IM session with my sister have all helped to put me in better spirits too.

Tonight we’re going to Mum and Dad’s for dinner and spending the night. If anyone needs to get in touch with me for any reason, such as a baby being born, you can call me there!
Take Care out there!

Still Here

Listening to: The Pixies in concert

Just a shortish entry.
As I’ve told my family on the phone, I’ve still been struggling with depression, which I’d mentioned on an entry a month or two ago. Finally admitted that I wasn’t getting any better..in fact the last 3 weeks were a lot worse and my poor husband was bearing the brunt of my mood swings and irritability. The doctor is away till next week, so until I see him, I’ve got some reading and self-care stuff happening. Got some books out at the library..ones on healing through meditation and breathing/exercise/nutrition and strategies to work through symptoms of depression. I took a good half hour walk today and the past few days I’ve felt better. Lots of heart to hearts with Cameron.
Also got some dollmaking books out, as I’ve been inspired by Loobylu. I want to make some whimsical rag dolls, just for fun. (No, not cheesy looking granny dolls!!) I think tonight I’ll work on that. I was also inspired by a link, on Loobylu, to the website of illustrator Justin DeGarmo..so I’ve got the painting bug again too! But I won’t pile on the expectations to be super creative tonight..one thing at a time.
Generally, I’m feeling pretty well and functioning o.k. Still acting silly with Cam and the pups, who make me laugh daily.
Just need lots more balance and energy.

And I’m still planning to visit the States as soon as it’s possible, for those of you who’ve asked about it. :-) Much love to my family..hey Kathy..not long now! We’re thinking of you!
