9 Moons Ago

Had a nice Valentine’s Day. Went out to eat at our fav. Turkish restaurant, Cafe Umut (YUM!), and then saw “Date Movie” which had a few funny moments, but overall was struggling. That’s O.K. it was fun just the same. Since we were over near Mum and Dad’s we stopped in to visit with them for a few hours afterwards.
I’m not sure when the more frequent posting will start, but who knows, maybe tomorrow? For now, I’m going to bed, as I have a number of things I want to do in the morning. Chores and such. The weather has been cooler, which is a relief. Pretty soon we’ll be replenishing our wood supply for winter. It might be worth it to get some hard wood this year. The pine is not good to burn for many reasons…but let’s not think about that yet..there’s still a bit of summer left!

Went to Sue and Murray’s orchard today and bought some apples and plums, and Sue gave us a whole crate of peaches for free! They had too many left and she said they’d be good for cooking and freezing, so I started preparing some for the freezer tonight. I don’t know where we’ll put them all! But YAY indeed! We’ll have to take a peach custard pie over to Mum and Dad’s sometime soon! Haven’t made one of those in ages! If anybody has any good peach recipes, please throw them my way!

I’ve slacked off with the Artist’s Way I’m afraid…though I did morning pages for most of this week…and some of the tasks. But no Artist Date! (Slack Slack Slack!) I put it off till the end of the week, then it rained on the day I was going to take an hour long walk, and today I felt a little under-the-weather. Blehh. Yet, even though I’ve let things slide this week, I’ll start fresh tomorrow.

Tomorrow we’re going to a party..a celebration of my sister-in-law’s engagement. Looking forward to that. I’m going to see if I can start posting every day (or nearly every day) again. I know not everyone keeps up with the site so frequently, but I rather liked the routine of daily posting in January. It may also inspire me to do more artwork on a regular basis!

This blog is finally getting it’s overhaul! This is just the first stage. There will be some tweaking and additions over the next however-long-it-takes, so this isn’t the final look, but it’s a big jump from the old site.

I’d write more tonight, but want to get some sleep… had a good conversation with my family on the phone the other day and YAY!- they sent me a package with nice clothes and a cd, “bath confetti” and pictures. Thanks guys!! Love the stuff!

Oof..off to sleep now. I’ll post something tomorrow probably.
