Well, got the rest of the house-sitting pictures up for y’all. Things are flying for us.. can YOU believe it’s the middle of January already?! We can’t!

No lizards in this batch, I promise, Chhavy! Just Boids.

A few weeks ago I gave meself a new look, which I’d been contemplating for at least half a year. I have not had bangs (aka a fringe) since before I was a teenager. (We won’t count that brief early-1990’s fling with the fluffed-up wispy bangs that complimented my frizzy poodle perm. Blergh.)

Better self-portraits another time. I haven’t had much of a chance for photo ops!

I need a photo opportunity. I want a shot at redemption. Don’t want to end up a cartoon, in a cartoon graveyard. Bone digger, bone digger. Dogs in the moonlight. Far away in my well-lit room…

Things are very good here. It’s so nice to be located near all our dearest folk -on this half of the world, anyway!

A week of house-sitting at Christmas time! It went by far too quickly, but we took plenty of pictures. Some are up on flickr already. There will be a few more soon. It’s a tough job to edit them, because there are so many good ones!

-Oh, and keep hauling those logs from the front of the house to the back of the house, and then to the stove for Bob, Janine and Madeline! (I bet he likes to pretend it’s the coal furnace in the train engine, doesn’t he?)

  

Sorry for that last rant…I’m not sorry, really, but I get annoyed when I see it, after having it up for so long..too negative to dwell on.

Anyway..time to finally ring in the new and start some long-planned changes. Breathe a bit of fresh air into this tired old journal.

Starting with a new sparkly look, fresh images and an updated “about” page. Will be updating these things soonish, but for now, enjoy the rest of the holidays! January is a time when you can relax and sigh and reflect, laugh, cry, curl up with a good book or watch crappy TV, spend some silly times with loved ones and make new goals and plans.

Hope 2008 brings you lots of love, peace and laughter. We can always use much more of those things!
