Taking a Month or Two Hiatus

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Going through some major changes in my life, as most of you are aware. I’ve decided to take a month or two off from this website to sort out what I need to do in my life. It could be rough, but I’m going cold turkey. I’ll still post pictures at flickr though. Wish me luck!

You're Happy

You’re happy under him
Write like light, like on a holiday
Whistle while mean friends party
Move wrong, even death, back
17 nice new hot and brilliant touches give hope

High Flight (An Airman's Ecstasy)

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air…

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, nor even eagle flew
And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
